Cewas guides and supports entrepreneurs all along their entrepreneurial journey from ideation, incubation, acceleration to scale-up. Since 2011, we have worked with over 160 partners in 40 countries across the globe. With the support of these partners, we have trained over 1500 people in water entrepreneurship and supported more than 350 entrepreneurs. But most importantly, those innovators have created solutions and services benefiting more than 4.7 million people.

Becoming a member

Eligibility criteria

  • SWP is open to organisations from all sectors (public, private, civil society and academia/research) who are registered in Switzerland and have a specific interest and know-how in the water sector at the international level.
  • Committed to promoting sustainable and equitable use and management of water resources and universal access to water and sanitation.
  • Acceptance of the SWP Statutes and expression of interest to become a member in written form.

Responsibilities of a member

SWP is an interactive platform for pre-competitive information and knowledge sharing, networking and thematic dialogue. We look for members who actively engage in the planning process, launch activities, network and share information and knowledge, contributing to a dynamic platform owned by its members.

Membership fee

The membership fee is decided by the General Assembly and depends on the size and nature of your organisation. We have three main categories:


  • Companies with more than 500 collaborators and Federal Offices (3000 CHF per year)
  • Companies with 20 to 500 collaborators, Non-Profit-Organisations with annual expenses of more than 40 million CHF, Non-Profit-Umbrella-Organisations and cantonal offices (1000 CHF per year)
  • Small companies, consultants, small NPO and foundations, university institutes (500 CHF per year)

Note: First year of membership is free for Start-ups joining SWP within the first three years of their existence.
