Sanakvo is a non-profit, humanitarian, tax-exempt Swiss foundation based in Brig-Glis, which was founded on November 20, 2010, registered in the Upper Valais commercial register in December 2010 and is under the supervision of the Federal Department of Home Affairs. The purpose of the Sanakvo Foundation (= healthy water in Esperanto) is to provide people in need with access to clean water, especially drinking water. The purpose of the foundation includes supporting corresponding research and development projects at home and abroad.

With this in mind, the Sanakvo Foundation decided from the beginning of its activity to promote an innovative, affordable, ecologically compatible and sustainable technology for obtaining drinking water from the air (so-called 'WFA' = Water from Air technology). Since 2012, the Sanakvo Foundation has been an active member of the Swiss organization ‘Swiss Water Partnership’. This means that the Foundation is regularly informed and involved in various developments and commitments in Switzerland with regard to water projects at home and abroad.
