Becoming a member
Eligibility criteria
- SWP is open to organisations from all sectors (public, private, civil society and academia/research) who are registered in Switzerland and have a specific interest and know-how in the water sector at the international level.
- Committed to promoting sustainable and equitable use and management of water resources and universal access to water and sanitation.
- Acceptance of the SWP Statutes and expression of interest to become a member in written form.
Responsibilities of a member

Membership fee
The membership fee is decided by the General Assembly and depends on the size and nature of your organisation. We have three main categories:
- Companies with more than 500 collaborators and Federal Offices (3000 CHF per year)
- Companies with 20 to 500 collaborators, Non-Profit-Organisations with annual expenses of more than 40 million CHF, Non-Profit-Umbrella-Organisations and cantonal offices (1000 CHF per year)
- Small companies, consultants, small NPO and foundations, university institutes (500 CHF per year)
Note: First year of membership is free for Start-ups joining SWP within the first three years of their existence.
